Section Down is an energetic and melodic hardrock band from Norway.
Erik (guitar/vocal) started Section Down in the summer of 2000, together with his brother Terje (drums). The band exchanged several members during the first ten years, and Lars M. Brenne (bass 2005-2010) was the last member to leave Section Down, before Roger Skogli joined in august 2010. The band formed it`s expression thru composing, recording and performing for an expanding audience,and gained crucial experiances thru all these years.
Section Down has allways had their main focus on songwriting, and making shure that all the material would feel right. And it was`nt until 2005,that the material really started to reach a higher level. In 2007, when Erik had written his hundred song, the band decided to record their first album, titled, “Dead-light”. 14 songs were recorded in 13 days. One of the tracks was left out, and the remaining 13 became the strong album they intended to create. “Dead-light” has a raw and stripped sound, containing songs they where 100% comfortable with performing on stage. It`s a low budget production, but it stands as the hounest testimony of Section Down`s first seven years as a band.
In fall 2010,the band started the recording of their second album. During spring and summer of 2011,they will release two video-singles on the net.
